The ACTA is an open organization established by the FCC and jointly sponsored by the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). The mission of the ACTA is to:
- adopt technical criteria and to act as the clearing‐house, publishing technical criteria for terminal equipment (Part 68 Compliance/scope C) developed by ANSI‐accredited standards development organizations; and
- establish and maintain a registration database of equipment approved as compliant with the technical criteria.

The Administrative Council for Terminal Attachments (ACTA) announces that the Responsible Parties may now validate their Responsible Party Code (RPC) data for the 2022 calendar year. The established fee for RPC Data Validation is $125.00. A discounted rate of $95.00 will be in effect from October 8, 2021, through February 8, 2022. RPC Data are required to be validated on an annual basis.

In May 2021, the Administrative Council for Terminal Attachments (ACTA) launched a new website and filing system, which can be found at the same location as the previous website and filing system: https://www.part68.org. All previous user login information has been migrated to the new website.
